Second day on the same lesson — p.22, a column of real words on one pattern. Do not re-teach it. Re-run the column and go at whatever the children were not accurate on yesterday.
Mouth barely open. Lips spread. Tongue high and forward, but relaxed — /i/, as in 'sit'.
They check it: Say 'bed' then 'bid': the jaw comes up again, and it is the smallest opening of the three.
Not in Arabic, Somali, Urdu. For those children this is a new physical skill, not a reminder. Do not let the column start until the mouth can make it.
