Today
Second day on the same lesson — p.9–10, letters and their sounds in isolation. Do not re-teach it. Re-run the column and go at whatever the children were not accurate on yesterday.
The one thing
No new sound today. This is drill, and drill is the point — the column is where a sound stops needing thought. Run it down, across, and then in random order, and if you finish early run it again rather than ending the block. Accuracy first, speed after; a child who is fast and wrong is practising being wrong.
