Down-stroke and around letters: l i t, c o a d g q
Down-stroke letters pull straight down from the top; the c-family all begin with the same curve to the left.
What it is
c is the letter all of these are built from. Start just below the top, go up and over to the left, around and down, and stop before you close it. Once you can make c, you get o, a, d, g and q almost free — each is a c with something added.
Watch it built
1Make the c shape. Up, over, around, and stop.
c
2Close it and you have o. Add a short line down the right and you have a.
o a
3Add a TALL line to c and you have d. Add a tail below the line and you have g or q.
d g q
Remember
Learn c and you have six letters.
Ask yourself: “Where did my pencil start?”
Remember
Every letter starts at the top.
