A finger space between words
A space between words is as much a part of writing as the letters.
What it is
You have been using a finger to measure the space. Now the measure has to move into your eye, because you cannot keep a finger on the page forever. The space should stay the same all the way across the line — even spaces are what makes writing easy to read.
Watch it built
1Write two words with your finger, as before.

2Write the next pair WITHOUT the finger, and make the gap look the same.

3Look back along the line. Every gap should match.
even all the way
Remember
The gap stays the same size all along the line.
Ask yourself: “Could I fit my finger there?”
Remember
One finger, every time.
