Key adjectives — use the words

A word is yours when you can put it in a sentence that needed it.

The words

important
worth caring about
common
seen a lot
similar
almost the same
possible
it could happen

Watch how it is built

1important means about the same as worth caring about.
Water is important for plants.
2common means about the same as seen a lot.
Robins are common here.
3similar means about the same as almost the same.
The two rocks are similar.

Two ways to say it

✗ Water is worth caring about for plants. — this is not wrong, but it is everyday talk.

✓ Water is important for plants. — this is how a writer says it.

Ask yourself: “Would my sentence still work if I took the word out?”

Remember

Describe it so a reader can see it.
