Key adverbs — use the words

A word is yours when you can put it in a sentence that needed it.

The words

usually
most times
often
many times
carefully
with care
slowly
not fast

Watch how it is built

1usually means about the same as most times.
It usually rains in spring.
2often means about the same as many times.
We often see clouds.
3carefully means about the same as with care.
Pour the water carefully.

Two ways to say it

✗ It most times rains in spring. — this is not wrong, but it is everyday talk.

✓ It usually rains in spring. — this is how a writer says it.

Ask yourself: “Would my sentence still work if I took the word out?”

Remember

All four kinds of word, together.
